Comparison of our theoretical results with the experimental results of Gianni et al. [] for doxorubicin and doxorubicinol in the presence of paclitaxel. The squares represent the doxorubicin data, the triangles represent the doxorubicinol data, the circles represent the paclitaxel data, and the stars represent the 6α-hydroxypaclitaxel data. The concentration-versus-time results for different situations are shown in parts (A) and (B) of the figure, with the black curves being our theoretical predictions. 60 m g/m2 doxorubicin was given as a 0.083-hour bolus injection, followed by: (A) a 0.25-hour interval before 200 m g/m2 paclitaxel was infused over 3 hours. The green and blue data corresponds to two different sets of patients . (B) a 24-hour interval before 150 m g/m2 paclitaxel was infused over 3 hours .
